What solar work do you do?
I am now doing numerical (computer) simulations of basic problems related to different features of the solar atmosphere at the University of Copenhagen. I use powerful computers to try to predict and understand what is happening on the Sun. When I was in high school a friend of mine pulled off the tab of a coke can and on the back was a question 'what is the corona'? I did not know the answer then, but all the work that I do today is actually related to that question. Isn't life strange? I hope you will achieve some of the dreams that you have for your future!
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I used to spend a lot of time on sports, especially rowing. I was even selected for the Danish national team - for the Nordic championships and the junior world-championships. No medals here though as the others were far too strong for us. Rowing in competitions took up a lot of time, so now I am doing tri-athlons.

I don't have so much spare time these days, with a wife and children. I met my wife at university. She needed help to do her mathematics and physics. You never know where an innocent question can lead you! |
