STEREO produces 3D images of the Sun. To view these you need to look through special glasses to get the 3D effect.
Here is a 3D movie of the Sun taken by the EUVI instruments on the two STEREO probes. You need special glasses (which filter red and blue separately) to get the 3D effect. You can make these glasses yourself, see our Classroom Resources page.
STEREO probes captured these images of huge twisting jets of hot plasma shooting out from the Sun.
