If the Earths stayed as solid balls, you could actually only fit about 910,000 in the Sun, because of all the wasted space in between. Mathematicians have been puzzling over this question of 'how many small balls can you fit into a larger ball' for centuries and still haven't come up with an accurate answer! |

If you could melt the Earth into a liquid and 'pour' it into an empty sphere the size of the Sun, then you could fit in nearly 1,300,000 as we calculated before. This isn't really the best answer unless you really want to melt the Earth! |
